
Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, along with the State Minister for Security, Mohamed Ali Hagaa, and the Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Osman Abdullahi Mohamed, officially closed a training program for members of the Police Darawish forces.
The Police Training and Planning Department led the preparation and delivery of the training curriculum, which focused on key areas such as policing laws and procedures, citizen rights protection, checkpoint operations, and upholding law and order.
Commander of the Darawish Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Yusuf Xundubay Yuuda, praised the trainees for their discipline, endurance, and commitment during the intensive three-month course, stating that they are now well-prepared to carry out their duties.
Deputy Police Commander Major General Osman Abdullahi expressed his gratitude to the European Union, with EUCAP as their representative, for funding the training and providing the necessary operational equipment.
Closing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama commended the senior leadership of the Somali Police Force for their dedication to enhancing the knowledge and professionalism of the police, highlighting it as a crucial step toward strengthening national security and public trust.
