Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force Inspects the Darawish Forces in Afgooye

The Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Osman Abdullahi Mohamed (Kaniif), conducted an official inspection of the 1st Battalion Command of the Police Darwish Forces.

The objective of the visit was to assess the working conditions of the Darwish Forces and to identify the challenges they face. As part of the inspection, the Deputy Commander also visited the Afgooye District Police Station.

He was accompanied by:

  • Brigadier General Abdullahi Mire, Commander of the Police Darwish Forces

  • Senior Lieutenant Colonel Abdi Ibrahim Shaamow, Commander of the South West State Police

  • Lieutenant Colonel Sadiiq Adan Ali (Duudishe), Spokesperson of the Somali Police Force

During the visit, the delegation met with members of the Afgooye District Administration at Sheikh Saa’id Farm. Attendees included:

  • Deputy Chairpersons for Security, Administration, and Social Affairs

  • Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nur Khayr Ali, Commander of the 1st Battalion of the Darwish Forces

  • The Commander of the Afgooye District Police Station

At the conclusion of the visit, the Deputy Commander praised the dedication of the security forces in serving the public. He urged them to intensify their efforts and prepare for the second phase of the national campaign to liberate the country from extremist groups and armed criminals. He also issued a strong warning against the use and distribution of narcotics.
